Structure and Function of the Heart

Heart on the outside complemented by a thin membrane called the membrane liver ( hepatic capsule ) . In liver tissue contained a few blood vessels . Hepatic artery and portal vein hepatic sinusoid having called branching . Hepatic portal venous sinusoids will establish the vein . Liver tissue was composed of liver cells called Hepatocytes .

Antarlapisan hepatocytes separated by lakuna , being between hepatocytes separated from each other by canaliculi which is where the production of bile . Canaliculi - canaliculi are then merged to form functional bile ducts carry bile to the gallbladder . Gallbladder as a temporary storage area before the bile flow into the duodenum .

At the sinusoid occurs specialties that make up the cells Kupffer cells . The Kupffer cells have phagocytic properties . If in the process of digestion in the small intestine are foreign organisms or substances harmful then these cells would destroy foreign organisms or harmful substances by phagocytosis . Of this process will result in the destruction of the pigment bilirubin . Bilirubin is then streamed to and excreted as bile canaliculi .

This is what makes the liver serves as a means of excretion . Bile is a greenish liquid and taste bitter . Bile has a pH of about 7 to 7.6 and contains no cholesterol , mineral salts , bile salts , and the pigment bilirubin and biliverdin .
